The gayplaces2stay.com concept was developed in early 1998 through a partnership of three guys in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida who had been avid digital queers for several years and have extensive hands-on managerial experience in the travel and tourism industry. We were quite amazed by the lack of a simple, well-designed, Gay-Owned, on-line service that could provide gay and lesbian travelers a comprehensive overview of gay and gay-friendly accommodations all over the world. We are not a re-packaged mainstream hotel website masquerading as a gay travel site!

Now in its 3rd redesign, the new gayplaces2stay.com site aims to capitalize on the fact that it has been one of the longest surviving online gay accommodations resource in continuous operation. This site no longer provides the user the ability to make secure on-line reservations. Our reasoning for this change is that, over the last 8 years, gay hotels have come a long way technology-speaking and are able to handle such reservations quite well on their own. Why re-invent the wheel for a redundant service so to speak? Why add a middleman between guest and hotel?

Our new focus and goal is to be the best gay accommodations portal on the web and provide our users the information that they are seeking in a logical, comprehensive manner with quick e-mail and website links to the hotel they seek to book.
